<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which realizes a transfer to an appropriate power saving state by using hardware without depending on software. <P>SOLUTION: In this image forming device, MFP 100 has a main control part 10; an interface part 30 having signal detection circuits 31 to 35 which detect the presence of an external signal inputted to the main control part 10 for controlling communication with the outside; a main power supply circuit 50; and a power supply control circuit 60. In addition, a power saving inhibiting circuit 210 is formed in the signal detection circuits 31 to 35. The power saving inhibiting circuit 210 outputs a power saving inhibiting signal for invalidating a request for a power saving operation to the power supply control circuit 60 or the main power supply circuit 50, while the external signal is inputted to the signal detection circuits 31 to 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
