<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for tracking an object in the body, for accurately determining the position and the direction in real time. <P>SOLUTION: This method for tracking the object, fixes a radio transponder including an electric power coil and a detecting coil to the object, by fixing the radio transponder including the electric power coil and the detecting coil to the object, by arranging a high-frequency driver for radiating an electromagnetic field generating high-frequency toward the object. A voltage drop is induced to a place before and behind the detecting coil, by generating an electromagnetic field of respective frequencies in the vicinity of the object, by driving a plurality of electromagnetic field generators. A digital output signal for indicating the voltage drop is generated by the radio transponder, and electric power for generating the digital output signal is supplied by using stored electric energy. The digital output signal is transmitted from the radio transponder by using the electric power coil.
