<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio receiving apparatus for normally detecting a reception signal with high precision even under a noise environment. <P>SOLUTION: A power determining part 114 determines that the signal level of the reception signal exceeds a predetermined threshold and a correlation determining part 116 determines that a predetermined periodical relative peak exists in an autocorrelation function calculated by a correlation arithmetic part 117. In this case, a signal determining part 117 performs demodulation after the reception signal is synthetically determined to be a demodulation object. Then it is definitely determined with precision whether the reception signal is an effective signal to be demodulated or a noise signal.
