<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical computer pointing device in a multi-mode capable of controlling a frame and a cursor and a media player in order to simplify the control of the multi-media player. <P>SOLUTION: This computer pointing device in a multi-mode is provided with a main body, a function switch arranged in the main body triggered for the purpose of switching the computer pointing device between a first mode and a second mode and a command generating part communicatively connected with the function switch and the computer triggered by a certain method in order to generate a cursor control command to the computer in the first mode, and triggered by the same method in order to generate a non-cursor control command to the computer in the second mode.
