PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller to be used for a developing apparatus which hardly causes degradation in image quality with increase in the output number of sheets. SOLUTION: The developing roller for electrophotography is composed of a metal supporting member, a semiconductive elastic layer formed on the outer peripheral face of the supporting member, at least one layer of intermediate layer formed on the outer peripheral face of the elastic layer, and a surface layer formed thereon.
