PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for fabricating a liquid crystal display which has high immunity to a shot mura phenomenon. SOLUTION: A TFT-LCD is divided into a 1st region I, a 2nd region II, and a boundary region BA positioned between the 1st region I and 2nd region II. The boundary region BA is divided by a border line BL into a 1st portion P1 and a 2nd portion P2, and the 1st region I and 1st portion P1 are defined by using a 1st mask A. The 2nd region II and 2nd portion P2 are defined by using a 2nd mask B. Gate electrodes 402 positioned in a 1st column 1 of 1st electrodes increase in the 1st portion P1 along the boundary (from the region I to the region II) and decrease in the 2nd portion P2 along the boundary. Consequently, gate-drain overlapping capacitors Cgd in the boundary region BA is gradually modified and thereby differences in feedthrough voltage are decreased to suppress the shot mura phenomenon.
