PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collapsible steering shaft capable of increasing impact absorbing performance and safety by facilitating a variation in the shape of a bellows by using a hydraulic pressure bulging method to simply fine-adjust the rigidity thereof against impact and bending in collision. SOLUTION: In this collapsible steering shaft, an impact absorbing means absorbing impact force by the elastic deformation of the bellows is installed in a part of a steering system. The system is formed in such a manner that the tubular bellows manufactured in a variable shape by the hydraulic pressure bulging method can be installed in the impact absorbing means.
