PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens support device which supports a handy type video camera and a box lens on a tripod, the lens support device being capable of preventing an optical mount from being distorted or broken owing to misoperation which is done when the box lens is mounted or demounted. SOLUTION: The lens support device which is equipped with a camera support part 15 and a lens fitting part 16a and supports the handy type video camera 11 and large-sized lens 12 on the tripod 10 by mounting and fixing the handy type video camera 11 on the camera support part 15, fitting the large-sized lens 12 to the lens fitting part 16a, and connecting an optical mount is equipped with an operation order setting means 17 of giving priority to a locking operation by a clamp member 17c for fixation of the large-sized lens 12 mounted on the lens fitting part 16a when the large-sized lens 12 is mounted and also giving priority to an operation of separating the handy type video camera 11 from the large-sized lens 12 when the large-sized lens 12 is demounted.
