PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a broadcast receiver at a low cost for receiving broadcast signals transmitted by the OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing) system and then decoding the signal and capable of obtaining decoding signals of high quality. SOLUTION: The broadcast receiver includes a master OFDM section for decoding an OFDM signal received from a master antenna to obtain a master symbol; a slave OFDM section for decoding the OFDM signal received from one of a plurality of slave antennas, to obtain a slave symbol; a compositing means for compositing the master symbol with the slave symbol, to obtain a composited symbol; and a selection means for selecting the slave antenna, whereby the slave OFDM section receives the OFDM signal on the basis of a prescribed reference.
