PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the influence of external light and improve the measuring accuracy, without modifying an analysis tool. SOLUTION: An analytical apparatus 1 is constituted so as to analyze a sample, by utilizing an optical technique and is provided with a holder 31 for holding the analysis tool 2 and a housing 3 having an opening 37 utilized, when the analysis tool 2 is held by the holder 31. The holder 31 is constituted so as to reciprocate in D1, D2 directions and select a state in which a sample inlet port 21 of the analysis tool 2 is exposed to the outside of the housing 3 and a state, in which the entire analysis tool 2 is accommodated in the inside of the housing 3.
