PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical information recording and reproducing device capable of realizing highly accurate tracking control. SOLUTION: The optical information recording and reproducing device of this invention receives reflected light from an optical disk to a main beam by a photodetector divided into two or more pieces, receives respective two reflected light beams from the optical disk to two sub beams by two photodetectors divided into two or more pieces, measures respective signal levels obtained by the respective photodetectors, and generates track error signals generated when the respective sub beams pass through an information track on the basis of the respective signal levels. Then, an offset is obtained on the basis of the signal levels and the offset is added to the tracking error signals. Then, it executes control for following the information track by the tracking error signals generated by the main beam and the two sub beams, to which the offset is added.
