PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover or retain good filtration performance of membrane bundled bodies functioning as a separation membrane by diffusion without affecting the filtration performance of the membrane bundled bodies, i.e., a separation membrane and to retain sufficient filtration performance for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The filtration device carries out solid/liquid separation by permeating a liquid to be treated containing a suspension component through a membrane module for immersion type aspiration filtration or external pressure filtration. The membrane module is constituted of a membrane element in which both ends of a large number of hollow fiber membranes in the axial direction are bundled in layers and a plurality of the bundled bodies are adjacently arranged vertically with spaces between the bodies. A diffusion pipe for jetting gas toward an axis direction of the membrane bundled bodies to carry out bubbling is faced to the spaces. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
