PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fresh water by distilling seawater at a low cost without imposing havy labor on a worker and being affected by the weather, or the like. SOLUTION: A propeller part 10 is driven by wind force to rotate a rotary shaft 21 connected to the propeller part 10 in a predetermined direction. Subsequently, friction heat is caused in a heat transmitting medium 26 provided in contact with the rotary shaft 21 through the friction caused between the rotary shaft 21 and the heat transmitting medium 26. Next, a heat transfer pipe 22 provided to the periphery of the rotary shaft 21 is heated by friction heat and the seawater flowing along the outside of the heat transfer pipe 22 is heated to be at least partially evaporated. Subsequently, the evaporated seawater is condensed on condensing pipes 23 and 24 provided around the heat transfer pipe 22 to obtain fresh water. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
