The zoom imaging lens has 2 refringent lenses (1f1,1f2) of variable refractive force positioned along a common optical axis (29f) and controlled in opposition to one another such that the refractive force of one lens element is increased as the refractive force of the other lens element is decreased. Fixed focal length lens elements (105f1,105f2; 105f1',105f2'), positioned along the same or an intersecting optical axis, can also be included. Also included are Independent claims for the following: (A) an imaging lens group; (B) a method for adjusting the imaging size of an imaging lens; (C) a microscope with variable magnification; (D) a stereo microscopy system; (E) an eyepiece; (F) an eyepiece arrangement with 2 eyepieces.
