<p>A separating tool like a cutting-off wheel (COW) (3) separates or cuts a printed circuit board panel into parts. With a thickness less than 0.6 mm, preferably equal to/less than 0.2 mm, the COW consists of a non-metallic COW material with a specific density ranging between plastic and ceramic. An angular gear couples to an electric motor (2) and drives the COW linked to an extraction device (9). An independent claim is also included for a method for separating printed circuit board panels.</p> |
