A vessel connection (15) is made through internal and external tubes (16, 17). These are joined to internal and external containers (11, 13) respectively. A coupling (20) is designed for separable connection between the tubes. There is an intermittently-operated, switchable thermal bridge between the containers, with an insulated intermediate space. This contains a thermally insulating vacuum, gas or powder. Any of the vessel wall(s) have an insulating coating or layers. The connection (15) is also insulated, e.g. with insulating film or foil. The coupling is mechanical, pneumatic or magnetic. To this end, a magnetic material is employed, or a magnetic field is set up, allowing detachable coupling of the tubes. A return spring is associated with the inner tube. The connection is further detailed. In the inner container, a storage adsorbent is provided. It comprises one or more pressed composites.
