<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate limitation on print setting caused by combination of the capacity of an image forming apparatus transmitting image data and an image forming apparatus receiving the image data. <P>SOLUTION: A system control section 701 checks print setting of an image transferred at S201 and sets a print set flag (F300). Alteration of page order and necessity of image edition of the transferred image is judged at S202. If any one of the print set flag (F300) is set TRUE, capacity of a remote unit is checked at S203 and a proxy processing flag (F310) is set. If any one of the proxy processing flag (F310) is set TRUE at S204 and a bookbinding surface attaching flag (F311) is TRUE at S205, image edition processing is required and a job control section is requested to perform processing of an image conversion job at S206.
