<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card issuing system, by which cards are efficiently manufactured in a short time after the receipt of the manufacturing request of the cards and issued, and its method. <P>SOLUTION: This system consists of a communication terminal on the part of a requestor for manufacturing the cards and a card manufacturing device on the part of a card manufacturer under the condition that the communication terminal and the card manufacturing device are connected together through a telecommunication line. The communication terminal has a means for sending character data, photograph-of-face data, request information for issuing cards to the card manufacturing device. The card manufacturing device has character database and photograph-of-face database built based on the character data and photograph-of-face data received from the communication terminal, an extracting means for selectively extracting the character data and photograph-of-face data necessary for issuing the cards from the character database and photograph-of-face database at the receipt of the request information for issuing the cards and an outputting means to output the display of the character data and photograph-of-face data to an issuing card based on the data extracted by the extracting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
