<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrance/exit management system for removing a card reader for maintenance check without disconnecting the power source of the card reader. <P>SOLUTION: An encryption key 8 for a card reader for decoding the encryption of a card 1 is stored in a card reader 6, and when it is detected that the card reader has been removed, the encryption key for the card reader in the card reader is erased.
