<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated piezoelectric element being capable of inhibiting the occurrence of any crack and breaking of the element due to any impact or the like, and having excellent reliability on a connection and having an excellent durability. <P>SOLUTION: The laminated type piezoelectric element is composed of a piezoelectric body and obtained by alternately laminating a plurality of piezoelectric layers in which the thicknesses thereof are changed in response to an applied voltage, and a plurality of internal electrodes for supplying the applied voltage while forming external electrodes for connecting the specified internal electrodes on the side faces of the piezoelectric element. In the piezoelectric element, sections parallel with the internal electrodes are composed of an n-gon shape (where (n) represents an integer of ≥5), and the external electrodes are formed on at least three side faces. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
