<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve working efficiency in control panel installation and in maintenance work, in a machine room-less type elevator device. <P>SOLUTION: A landing entrance 9 facing a hoistway 1 is provided on each landing floor. Each landing entrance 9 is provided with a landing door 10, a door storage section 11 storing the landing door 10 when opened, an entrance wall 12 provided between the door storage section 11 and the landing, and a landing entrance column 13. A hoisting machine 16 and a control panel 50 for controlling the hoisting machine 16 are disposed at the landing entrance 9 on a top landing floor. The hoisting machine 16 and the control panel 50 are disposed in a space between the door storage section 11 and the entrance wall 12.
