PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated particles which is free from flocculation, has excellent sticking properties to a transparent electrode substrate and the like even when being press-fixed to the transparent electrode substrate and the like under the condition of low temperature and low pressure and can be suitably used for spacers for a liquid crystal display element and the like, to provide the spacers for the liquid crystal display element using the coated particles and to provide the liquid crystal display element. SOLUTION: Each coated particle consists of a base material particle and core shell particles with which the base material particle is coated.
