PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multilayer electrophotographic photoreceptor free of lowering of chargeability and giving a high quality image even after repeated use over a prolonged period of time. SOLUTION: A charge generating layer is formed with a coating liquid containing both charge generating materials shown by formulae (I) and (II) and having a viscosity at 22°C of 2.0-5.0 mPa s. A charge transportation layer is formed with a coating liquid containing a cyclic ether, a charge transportation material shown by formula (III), a hindered phenol antioxidant and a thio-ether antioxidant.
