PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state imaging element wherein problems of noise production and shading or the like can be solved by avoiding a difference of light collection and a signal output difference among pixels even when the center position of a pixel region is not in matching with the center position of a light receiving sensor unit due to restriction on the configuration. SOLUTION: The solid-state imaging element comprises the light receiving sensor unit 1 for receiving light and converting it into electric charges; a microlens 6 for allowing the light receiving sensor unit 1 to collect incident lights; an inter-layer insulation film 2 and a protection film 4 placed between the light receiving sensor unit 1 and the microlens 6, the inter-layer insulation film 2, and the protection film 4 being made of optical transmission materials whose refractive indices differ from each other. Further, the element is configured so that the border between the inter-layer insulation film 2 and the protection film 4 is inclined in response to a deviation of a planar position of the light receiving sensor unit 1 and the microlens 6.
