PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that as a conventional gasket is formed of a sheet of simple flat plate, when a terminal cover is fastened and fixed, contact between the bottom face of the gasket and the surface of an end cap rarely becomes incomplete and moisture may enter connections and the like of a terminal from a gap between the gasket bottom face and the end cap surface by a capillary phenomenon and cause insulation failure and breakage of an electric motor, and to provide a gasket for a compressor which can prevent infiltration of water into the connections and the like of the terminal and is easy to position for installation. SOLUTION: The gasket for the compressor has an outer diameter larger than an outer diameter of a terminal and is formed in a shape in which holes for the terminal are perforated and the terminals are inserted and installed in the holes. This allows a part of the bottom of the terminal cover 15 outside of the terminal outer diameter to come into contact with the gasket 12 when the terminal cover 15 is fixed and infiltration of moisture from an outside can be prevented.
