PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acrylic fiber and cloth having high flame-retardance and excellent light resistance. SOLUTION: The acrylic fiber is produced by adding 0.1-2.0 pts.wt. of a triazine compound and 1-50 pts.wt. of at least one kind of metal compound selected from antimony compound, tin compound and zinc compound to 100 pts.wt. of an acrylic copolymer composed of 30-70 wt.% acrylonitrile, 30-70 wt.% vinylidene chloride monomer and 0-10 wt.% vinyl monomer copolymerizable with the above monomers and having a weight-average molecular weight of≥200,000 and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of an epoxy-containing polymer.
