PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse bucket and reverse mechanism for a water jet propulsion type small-sized planing boat sufficiently providing thrust in reverse movement and efficiently turning while moving backward by preventing water jetted from a water jet pump from dispersing when reflected. SOLUTION: This reverse bucket 22 comprises a body part 30 formed in an approximately bowl shape and side fins 33 and a center fin 34 formed on the inner wall surface of the body part 30 projectedly inward and extendedly along the approximately longitudinal direction.
