PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thinning scissors facilitating smooth dropping of hair caught in tooth grooves of the thinning scissors. SOLUTION: The thinning scissors 1 consist of a combed blade 10 with a large number of cut tooth grooves 11 and comb teeth 12 are arranged in a blade body, and a straight blade 20 pivotally attached to the combed blade 10. The thinning scissors are structured so that a recessed groove 13 is formed on the rear surface X of the combed blade near the base ends of the comb teeth 12 not to be covered with the straight blade when the straight blade is closed.
