Part of the zinc dust may be replaced by zinc chromate, calcium plumbate, or magnesium monohydrogen phosphate.ALSO:An anticorrosive composition comprises a non-alkaline zinc dust paint containing a pigment having passivating properties (defined as a pigment which inhibits corrosion of the corrodible surface by anodic or cathodic electrolytic action). Examples of such pigments are zinc chromate, calcium plumbate, and magnesium monohydrogen phosphate. The only binder disclosed is a chlorinated rubber solution. |
