The method involves placing the cables and hoses in a cable drum for mounting on or integrating into the ceiling, wall or medical equipment. The cables and hoses can be withdrawn in define lengths with a lock facility and automatic rewind of the cables and hoses is enabled. The cables can be rewound in a sorted manner.
