<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method and a program for generating an ultrasonic image for obtaining the precise and smooth ultrasonic image of a celom surface by surely removing noise from obtained ultrasonic echo data. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for generating the ultrasonic image, the ultrasonic image is generated based on the ultrasonic echo data obtained by transmitting and receiving ultrasonic waves to/from a patient. The method comprises a calculation step for calculating a probable extraction point from the actual extraction point of the celom surface by using front and rear sound rays sandwiching a prescribed sound ray of the ultrasonic echo data. It is more desirable that the calculation step comprises calculating the probable extraction point with respect to the prescribed sound ray and the front and rear sound rays of the prescribed sound ray based on the length of the sound rays and a difference between the front and rear sound rays. Otherwise, the method comprises: a comparing step for comparing the probable extraction point of the celom surface calculated by the calculation step with the actual extraction point of the celom surface; and a deciding step for deciding the surface extraction point of the celom surface based on the comparing result of the comparing step. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
