<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connecting tool and a connecting component for a component tape by which loads to a worker can be reduced and working efficiency can be improved. <P>SOLUTION: The connecting component 2 is composed by connecting a plurality of strip-shaped connecting members 25. The side end part of the connecting component 2 is inserted to a gap between a guide 64 and a component stand 63 from the arrow direction of an alternate long and short dash line. The connecting component 2 is slid in the arrow direction of the alternate long and short dash line until the engaging part 24 of the connecting member 25 at the tip of the connecting component 2 is engaged with a hook body 621 of a feed plate 62. Consequently, the connecting component 2 is set to a feed-in mechanism 6. A feed-in handle 61 is turned in the arrow L direction in a state of engaging the connecting component 2 with the hook body 621. Accordingly, the connecting component 2 is slid to the tip side of the connecting tool.
