<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system by which a user can easily perform a printing processing without being conscious of presence of a decryption key and which can secure a security when transferring the decryption key. <P>SOLUTION: A cryptographic key is stored in an MFP extension unit 3 resulting from encrypting scan image data, and image data are then uploaded to a file server 5. At the side of an MFP extension unit 4, when printing image data, the stored encryption key is acquired from the MFP extension unit 3, the received image data are decrypted, and print processing is performed. When transferring the cryptographic key, address information of the MFP extension unit 3 wherein the encryption key is stored, is contained in encrypted data and the MFP extension unit 4 requests the encryption key to the MFP extension unit 3 on the basis of the address information. Address information of the MFP extension unit 4 is contained in the request of the encryption key, and the MFP extension unit 3 sends the encryption key on the basis of the address information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
