<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle control device which obtains traffic jam information and reports the state of a traffic jam to a succeeding vehicle to arouse the attention of the succeeding vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The on-vehicle control device includes; a traffic jam information acquiring means which acquires the traffic jam information including information on a traffic jam point; a position detecting means which detects the present position of the vehicle; a map data storing means which stores map data; a reporting means which is provided in the vehicle and makes a report by meas of light; a close approach determining means which determines whether the distance between the traffic jam point and the present position of the vehicle is within a prescribed distance based on the map data and the data on the present position of the vehicle; and a report controlling means which makes a report by means of the reporting means when the close approach determining means determines that the vehicle reaches a point in a prescribed distance from the traffic jam point. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
