PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoplastic resin molded product having dispersing property, transparency, ultraviolet light-shading property, stretchability and surface smoothness. SOLUTION: A coloring agent for a thermoplastic resin contains (A) a surface-treated ferricα-oxide obtained by covering the non-needle-shaped ferricα-oxide having 0.01-0.06μm mean particle diameter and 0.2-1.0 aspect ratio with a polyhydric alcohol and an organopolysiloxane, and (B-1) an oxycarboxylic acid metal salt as (B) a dispersing agent. Also, the coloring agent for the thermoplastic resin contains a methine-based dyestuff. A thermoplastic resin composition and a molded product of the same obtained by using the coloring agent for the thermoplastic resin are provided.
