PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the drawback that a power failure notice is broadcasted to a complex housing and a load on an exchange increases to cause the difficulty of a telephone call or a security company hardly receives calls from the other area in reporting to the outside that a monitoring apparatus is brought into a non-operating state due to a power failure, i.e. security cannot be secured in a automatic reporting apparatus in which the monitoring apparatus reports an emergency to a police station, a firefighter station, a security company or a cellular phone of a parent via a telephone line when detecting a fire, the invasion of a thief or an urgent call from an aged person. SOLUTION: The automatic reporting apparatus 1 is provided with a back-up power source 74 to report in response to a report input from the monitoring apparatus inputted from terminals T11-T16. The apparatus 1 is provided with a power failure setting switch B27 for selecting whether or not the power failure report is performed to set so that the notice is broadcasted only to one part of the housing.
