PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability, when installing a video image recording apparatus, to improve operability of a video camera apparatus and to enable long-time recording. SOLUTION: A video image recording apparatus 8 comprises a video camera apparatus 5 that is connected to a LAN 1, whereon various FA apparatuses 2, 3, 4 are connected, and is capable of remotely controlling a panning, tilting and zooming function; a recording means 6 that is connected to the LAN 1, receives video image data transmitted from the video camera apparatus 5 and records the video image data, when recording start conditions are established; a recording start condition setting means that sets the recording start conditions; a command-transmitting means 6 that transmits to the video camera apparatus 5 an operating command for operating the panning, tilting and zooming function, when command transmission conditions are established; and a command transmission condition setting means 6 that sets the command transmission conditions.
