PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that a liquid level can not be detected correctly because the liquid level is varied by movement of a vehicle or a ship, and the remaining amount of liquid down to 0 cannot be detected, when the liquid becomes low. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic vibrator 2 is mounted on an upper section of a container 1, and a pipe 3 is set almost vertically inside the container 1 corresponding to the ultrasonic vibrator 2, and a prescribed spacing is formed between the pipe 3 and the bottom of the container 1, thereby enabling the liquid 4 in the container 1 to be freely introduced therein; and furthermore, a float 5 floating on the liquid 4 is inserted into the pipe 3 so that the float 5 will not shoot out from the spacing between the pipe 3, and the bottom of the container 1 to the inside of the container 1, and the ultrasonic vibrator 2 is connected to a level meter 6 which detects the liquid level of the liquid 4.
