PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating device for a derricking gate facility capable of automatically and stably carrying out automatic rising and automatic falling of a gate by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: In this derricking gate facility, a gate driving shaft 6 installed in a gate driving device chamber 2 provided with a gate driving device for driving the driving shaft 6 of the gate 3, an intake 18 and a drain port, is connected to a driving arm 7 rotationally driven by a hydraulic cylinder 8, and a float driving shaft 11 connected to a float arm 12 supporting a driving float 13 lifted by the water level in the gate driving device chamber, and rotationally driven by lifting of the driving float 13, such that the rotational driving force of the driving arm 7 and float driving shaft 11 is transmitted to put the gate 3 in derricking operation. The hydraulic cylinder 8 is connected to a falling or rising operating hydraulic circuit for allowing the gate 3 to fall/rise, and each operating hydraulic circuit has a selector valve for communication with the hydraulic cylinder 8 for the fall/rise of the gate by lifting of the water level detecting float.
