PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a more appropriate deceleration control in compliance with a driver's sense of speed that varies in response to a visibility for a forward field of view. SOLUTION: A correction coefficient corrected deceleration starting threshold value Rs' is set to be larger by a correction coefficientαRthan a normal deceleration starting threshold value Rs initially calculated and a correction coefficient corrected deceleration starting threshold value Vs' is set to be smaller by a correction coefficientαVthan a normal deceleration starting threshold value Vs initially calculated as a visibility for the forward field of view is decreased in response to a surrounding weather condition or brightness (a step S15). That is, the deceleration starting threshold values Rs and Vs are corrected toward such values as showing a large surplus against a limit of turning performance so as to facilitate a starting of automatic deceleration as the visibility for the forward field of view is decreased.
