MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR METALLIC MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which facilitates the manufacturing of a metallic member formed with an internal minute through-hole. SOLUTION: A wire rod 3 of a second metal whose melting point is lower than that of a first metal is arranged in a molded form 1 or 11 of the first metal in such a manner as to pass through it so that a preform 4 or 12 can be formed. The preform 4 or 12 is stretched along a length direction, and a long member 5 or 13 is formed in such a manner that a cross-sectional area is reduced by containing the wire rod 3. The long member 5 or 13 is heated at a temperature lower than the melting point of the first metal and higher than the melting point of the second metal; and the wire rod 3 is melted so that the second metal can be solidly dissolved into the first metal; a void is formed in an area which is occupied by the wire rod 3; and the metallic member wherein the fine though-hole is formed is formed. A coating layer for coating the surface of the void is formed of an alloy of the first and second metals or an intermetallic compound. The first metal is Al or its alloy, and the second metal is one kind of metal which is selected from a group composed of Zn, Sn and an alloy of them.
