PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper course automatic setting method of newspaper rotary press capable of omitting preparation operation of a face divided to table marking and paper course by manual operation by dispensing with preparation operation of a face divided table by an expert. SOLUTION: Based on a structure of a newspaper going to be printed, an image for accelerating input of conditions necessary for printing of a total page number of a newspaper, section, folder information or the like of a picture accelerating an input of conditions necessary for printing the above-mentioned is marked. Initial image corresponding together with the page number are marked. A page number for multi-color printing is specified from the image. Based on the specifications, the marking of the specified before page number are changed from single color printing marking to multi-color printing marking. A selectable paper course is calculated from a mechanical structure of the printing part, the mechanical structure of the rail frame part, and a specified multi-color page. An optimum paper course is determined from a deduced paper course. From the determined one paper course, a class of a class of winding up paper to be set to the feed paper part.
