PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a configuration of an inkjet head which prevents a vibrating plate displacement amount decrease even when nozzles are formed by a high density, and prevents a compliance increase of partition walls for partitioning each pressure chamber, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The inkjet head consists of driving elements which expand and contract by an application signal, a vibrating plate which constitutes a part of each pressure generation chamber, partition walls for separating the pressure generation chamber from each pressure generation chamber, communication openings, an ink common liquid chamber, and the nozzles. The inkjet head jets ink droplets from the nozzles by displacing the vibrating plate through deformation of the driving elements, and enhancing an ink pressure in the pressure generation chambers corresponding to the driving elements. The vibrating plate is composed of a plurality of different materials in an in-plane direction of a vibrating plate principal plane. Moreover, the ink common liquid chamber which communicates with the pressure generation chamber via a throttle present on the same plane is formed of a resin material. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
