<p>The specification discloses a locking device for a cargo-container closure of the type comprising a pair of doors (6) hingedly mounted to a body of the cargo-container (5), each door (6) having associated therewith in spaced-apart relation at least one upright lockrod (9), the lockrods (9) being adapted for securement to the body in a closed condition of the doors (6), and in which closed condition of the doors (6) the lockrods (9) are laterally spaced-apart a finite distance. The locking device comprises a pair of separate arms (20), each arm (20) having a principal length (23) extending between the first (21) and second (22) ends, the first end (21) of the arms (20) being adapted for secure interconnection in end-to-end abutting relation.</p> |
