<p>The invention concerns a method which consists in unwinding glass sheets previously softened gradually providing them with the desired convex shape. Between the initial bending phase during which the sheet begins to be shaped and the final phase of said bending process, at a location on the advancing line, air is continuously blown on at least one side of the glass sheets, under conditions capable of influencing asymmetrically the final concavity of the bend-shaped glass sheets compared to what would have resulted from the final bending without said blowing operation. The corresponding bending machine comprises at least one nozzle (3, 3a) for continuously blowing air, arranged at a location along the advancing line the glass sheets and designed to provide asymmetrical air blowing on said sheets (1).</p> |
