The valve has a body with holes, a support for a membrane, and sealant oil (135) between support and membrane (140). The oil is either a food or a substance permitted for use as a food additive, and has an E-number. The oil may be one of the following:- paraffin, glycerin, palm oil, or a triglyceride of fractional fatty acids. These consist of more than 50% of caprylic and/or capric acid. Alternatively, the sealant oil is a palm oil distributed by Berg + Schmidt, Hamburg, under the name of Bergabest MCT-Oil 60/40. The resultant opening pressure for the valve is below 3millibar.
