<p>Cushioning (138) to protect the Achilles tendon region contains at least two reinforcing threads, at least one of which is knitted to form a plush surface. The cushioning borders on to the full width of a heel cushion (114). The Achilles tendon cushion (138) is in one piece of constant strength and narrows towards the top. The garment additionally has cushions in the ankle regions (158, 166), at the shin bone (180) and round the calf (196). The cushioning, also with reinforcing threads and a plush surface, is arranged asymmetrically to match anatomical requirements. The calf cushioning (196) also acts as heat insulation and has air pockets.</p> |
