Connection between a pipe and a wall

A fitting 22 for providing a substantially fluid-tight seal between an opening in a chamber wall and a pipe passing through the opening. The fitting comprises a first portion 31 intended to extend through the opening in the chamber wall and a second portion 32 adapted to form a fluid-tight seal with the first portion and both portions being adapted to allow a pipe to pass therethrough. A support ring may be provided inside the second portion. The first portion is formed of a material (e.g. GRP or a metal) easily bondable to fibre reinforced material and the second portion is formed of an electrofusible polymeric plastics material. Allows electrofusion to plastics primary and containment pipes and bonding to GRP manhole chamber walls in underground fuel station installations to provide a seal against leakage and water ingress.
