PURPOSE: To integrate plural three-dimensional shape data into one piece by expressing the data on the area enclosing the cutting plane of the partial shape data in a two-dimensional coordinate system for each of cutting planes set at the points near the boundaries among those three-dimensional shape data and then generating the triangular patch data in the area by using a Delaunay network. CONSTITUTION: A shape data file is read out of a storage 202, and an image is displayed on the screen of a display part 204 based on the shape data. An operator operates a keyboard 206 and a valuator 205 to ensure the matching of positions of all shape data, so that these shape data are expressed in a single world coordinate system. Then a cutting plane is set a part where two shape data are overlapping with each other, and every shape data is divided into two parts through the cutting plane. The shape data is selected for the part that remains as the integrated shape data, and two partial data are integrated together via a Delaunay network after the triangular patch data are generated in the corresponding area. |
