<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve hose connection airtightness by winding spacers on helically reinforced hoses so that the helical recess of the helically reinforced hoses faces a helical projection of the spacers over at least one pitch, and diametrally constricting the spacers with locking bands tightened thereon so that both helical projection and helical recess of the helically reinforced hoses are pressed against the periphery of hose nipples over at least one pitch. SOLUTION: Tightening locking bands 3 into a position with a reduced diameter constricts diameter constricting cutout parts 4c of a spacer 4 to put a helical projection 4b at a closer pitch, so that the tip of the helical projection 4b fits under pressure in a helical recess 2c of a helically reinforced hose 2 practically uniformly over at least one pitch thereof, and a helical groove 4a conforms under pressure to a helical projection 2b of the helically reinforced hose 2 uniformly over at least one pitch thereof. Both helical projection 2b and recess 2c of the helically reinforced hose 2 are pressed against the periphery of a hose connecting barrel 1a of a hose nipple 1 over at least one pitch.</p> |
